What is the Use?

What is the use of journeying across the world in a quest?
Cherishing the few who also seek the truth
Only to be wary of the ones who claim to have found it.

What is the use in knowing no matter what they say or show?
The real man will be confined inside his head.

What is the use in climbing a mountain high?
When we can see more from the bottom of a well.

What is the use in asking the way?
When we don't even know what we are looking for.

What is the use in touching someone?
When we cannot go deeper than the skin they bare.

What is the use of a gaping wound that bleeds the soul?
When one cannot sew it up without leaving a scar.

What is the use of surviving in this darkness?
When all we really should be doing is living it full.

What is the use of these lines I write?
When tomorrow comes and these lines smudge within.
